  • Bird People

  • The fuck you giggling about?

    Shadow: "NO JACKY'S BITCHING AGAIN!!!"

So yesterday I was at home cooking my 3-cup-chicken; my father planted a bunch of basils so I figure the best way not to waste them is to utilize them into my hardcore 3-cup-chicken.

So this lady who just moved into my house started commenting on my basils. She was disgusted with the smell. I explained how basil may not be for everyone, but she should try it because she might after all like the unique taste and scent with my hardcore 3-cup-chicken.

She looked at me funny as if I'm eating shit and then she giggled.

After I finished my chickens I took some vitamin pills and health food stuff, she was all surprised by me taking all these pill-like objects and she questioned whether I was sick or not. To which I replied "Nah I'm just not eating too healthily so I thought I'd keep up with the nutrient intakes."

She looked at me funny and giggled as if she felt bad for me or something.

So this morning I woke up and took at look at the puppies; she approached me again and told me how the puppies are small like rats. I agreed with her and then she started saying how back home they'd eat puppies because they're good for your body, that they can cure Rheumatic Arthritis.

I was asking how come eating puppies can cure an autoimmunity disease, she replied "Because they make you warm." Which to me sounds entirely ignorant, so I started explaining how Rheumatic Arthritis is a condition where your immune system wrongfully attacks your joints that causes the pain; usually one needs to take anti-inflammatory supplements or immunity suppression drugs to improve the condition, I didn't think puppies can bring you either effects.

She looked at me funny again.

So here is the million dollar question:

    The fuck you giggling about?

It gets on my nerve when people are ignorant. It's ok if you're ignorant, we all are; but some people don't know they're ignorant, they don't know if they are, and worst yet they don't know what ignorance is and even worst yet they don't want to know.

These people show no motivation or ability to learn new things; they're just stuck in their La-la land, nothing else is important except for their opinion based on their limited shitty knowledge they somehow learned from their La-la land by repeating the same shit they've been doing their whole lives.

They refuse to try basils and think I'm some weird hippie loser who is drug abusive because basils smells foreign and exotic, and vitamin pills look like pills. They don't want to try they don't want to know, no they just giggle and look at you funny.

It's ok if you don't try new things from outside of your La-la land, I don't give a shit; just don't give me shit like giggling and walking away all day thinking I'm all weird because I do things differently than you.

    Sigh...

    Negativety strikes again.

Which brings me to think about positive things like basketball.

Then there comes that high schooler who always calls foul when he misses a layup. Any single miss he's done is a foul, because he's a 6 time MVP and a professional referee at the same time, only in his little La-la land. The hell is wrong with people?

Maybe it's me, who knows, I think negative thinking really draws you negative things.

I should focus on my work.

    JULY COME!

  • Life is Fair

Having the opportunity to meet and work with a diversity of people, I have come to realize a few things.

    1. About Mistakes

A lot of us already know that we learn from making mistakes, and I've read it somewhere that it'll take an average person 16 times of repeated mistakes to physically permanently understand the consequences of certain things, and thus remember not to make that mistake again.

Whether it's true or not, I think it's logical even if we make the same mistakes more than 3 times it'll be obvious for us not to make it again. But we all know that there are mistakes we make kazillion times yet we still do it. Why is that? I think the biggest mistake we actually make is that we don't admit it was a mistake to begin with.

    2. People's perception and expectations

Everyone has different perspectives, you can't change what other people think of anything at all. Whenever people complain to me about how they don't receive what they deserve, I always tell them "Well you shouldn't have expected it though."

A lot of them don't understand that maybe the greatest effort you contribute to a group is actually very tiny in some people's eyes, on the other hand, some tiny little thing you do can turn out to be a great favor for someone else.  A lot of us would complain that we don't deserve such little pay for what we contribute to the company. And many employees will suddenly bitch about how life is not fair.

Life is fair, in the way that each one of us gets to control ourselves.

And life is also fair in the sense that I ONLY get to control myself, nobody else can change me, unless I let them change me. And so, what we can do is change our own perspectives to accept the fact that people will always look at things different than you, we are the only people that can truly affect the way we see things, no more no less. It is up to us whether to accept other people's views or not, and the way I see it...WHY NOT? Learn from others, like Master Confucius said: "Threre must be something I can learn from others." (三人行必有我師)

So I'd say the best thing we can do is simply do our best and leave no room for guilt later on, and even if doing so people still condemn us, who gives a shit? The reason why we're paid this little is
because we are WORTH this little to the company; our salary merely
reflects our value contributed to the company, or else we woudl've received a raise a long time
ago. If you think you're worth more than that and paid too little, quit.

    3. Victimization

Another thing I notice is how some people like to victimize themselves. I do that a lot so I know. They like to do this, consciously or unconsciously, to draw attentions from other people and feel that they've worked hard.

In a friend friend relationship it's ok, there's gotta be a whiner and there's gotta be a listener, and sometimes this can lead to a great friendships.

But in a working environment it's pretty annoying, because the only thing we care about is results. Get this done, get that finished, so and so. Victims usually don't get shit done and they love to brag about things that they're supposed to do, and they create the most unusual situations and difficulties in the process of doing the task they're supposed to do and take credit for it.

And if you ever try to talk to them they'll always bust out the "Nah you don't understand because you've never been in my shoes."

Well I wish I can just say "Nah you don't understand because you never actually bring any results."

And they don't understand it, one day you fire them, they will be shocked as ever, and they will cry and bitch about how bad this company is and they will make sure to get the lawyers, reporters, cops, the whole package, to make sure that you pay them for what's their worth.

Beware of these types of people man, you never know how bad they think they got it and how good you've had it, and they will fuck. you. up.

Damn I've been pretty negative lately... I gotta think of something good...

OH YEAH, I've found a new basketball court! YES! Now I get to shoot hoops... damn it felt so great to play ball again! Until I met this kid, who continued to call foul every time he misses his stupid layups. EVERY time.

I kept telling myself "Calm down, don't get all serious with these high schoolers." but no I can not. I CAN'T and I REFUSE TO. I WILL GO BACK TO THAT COURT AND SCHOOL HIM, WHAT A REAL JUICY FOUL IS, NOT THAT SISSY LITTLE FOUL WHERE I LAY MY FINGER NAIL ON HIS HAIR, INSTEAD I WILL "OOPS!" HIS ASS AND LAY MY ELBOW ON THIS WHINNY KIDS MOUTH...

    MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAaaa.....

    Sigh...

  • To Ministry of Health Malaysia

Here’s the deal. We are a GMP manufacturer of health food products and we sell them to distributors.

To sell your health food products, you must have a license registered under the department of health for each product, much like the US FDA, and then you will receive a MAL license, which grants your legality to sell your health food products.

To register for MAL is by far one of the most annoying pain-in-the-ass processes for me, and I am not even the one that’s doing the job, I’m merely providing information. I respect the fact that the government takes great care of its fellow citizens by carefully inspecting all foods manufactured for consumption, but sometimes being too careful can be pretty fucking annoying.

Take this line for example, this is only one single line in the IPQC (In Process Quality Control, pretty much means “So how do you make your shit?)

    Initial version: Weigh raw material

First Revision: Weigh Royal Jelly raw material

Second Revision: Weigh lyophilized Royal Jelly raw material on a weigh (NO SHIT RIGHT? MAYBE WE WEIGH THE MATERIAL ON YOUR MOM’S TOILET SEAT? WHO KNOWS?)

Third Revision: Remove lyophilized Royal Jelly from plastic zip-lock bag, place lyophilized Royal Jelly raw material on stainless-steel receptor of weigh, and weigh lyophilized Royal Jelly raw material powder, record the number. (This is now 4 lines)

And this is just ONE line of ONE ingredient in ONE product of like what, 100 steps on producing the final production.

So we revised the whole shit three times and the prompt response we got from the assholes in department of health is:

“The IPQC procedure is not specific enough.”

Well you know what? Why don’t your bitchy whinny ass tell me "SPECIFICALLY" how specific is really specific enough? What the hell does specific really mean anyway?

For anybody who wants to make some quick money, tell you what, go work for the governmental agency and steal a whole bunch of IPQCs, you got yourself a free detailed recipe, this manual is so thorough, you will even get the brand name of the spoon we use along with the receipts from Costco.

Then go online and look for starting companies who are in need of products, make friends with some pharmacists or get yourself a bio/nutrient degree, BAM!!! You be balling by selling recipes along, you don’t even need to actually make the products. SHIEEETTTTTT~~~!!!

One more vent, SAY NO TO WINDOWS VISTA, it ruined my life and because of it I've developed high blood pressure, I just recorded it as I type, it's like 180/100.

  • Talking Birds

    Talking Birds: Parrot

Parrots are commonly known for their ability to mimic human voices, they are the most intelligent among bird species.

They are pretty, they dress fancy and they are often seen in movies or commercials mocking humans by imitating few words or phrases.

Come to think of it, have you ever met people that act like the parrots around you?

These people dress fancy, talk it real big, and they steal words and ideas from people around them.

They will tell you all kinds of stories, give you ideas and concepts on how to run certain things, and after all that you have prepared for them, they either turn off their cells or they blame some unforseen circumstances and then they make you another empty promise.

It's no wonder why in Chinese we call these people: 鳥人

  • Another one of those shitty days...

Today I made a pretty dumb mistake at work. My dad screamed: "Why the fuck would you XXX when it was OOO? You know what, why don't we just XXX all the way and you can tell me how to run the damn company with that shit and I will call you Master Jack!?"  (He didn't say that but it was similar)

I felt stupid, and I blamed myself "Yeah, what the fuck Jacky why did you XXX when it was obviously OOO?"

So I started thinking about it, initially I try to think of excuses why it was not my fault, but I look around people and they were pretty shocked too, that I XXX when it was OOO.

    Whatever,

So it got me thinking about talents, you ever meet people with great talents? Those who would just figure shit out much much quicker than you? Those people that play better basketball than you no matter how hard you try to beat them? Those who can pick up a pencil and draw wonderful things? Those who play beautiful guitar like they were supposed to be?

Well, if you have, then there must also be those people who absolutely lack these talents. You ever meet those who, no matter how many times you explain or teach a certain task, they will not perform it correctly? Those who simply can't do it right even after 10-20 years of consistent work in the job?

I don't know, I always wonder why some people can naturally be good at certain things without much experiences. And it's not luck; when I think about Nigo of BAPE. The guy admittedly said that he had never failed in his life; in fact, before he started BAPE, he was already banking with his DJ career, he tried out designing T shirts for fun because he thinks all other tees are garbages.

Then BAM here comes BAPE, 4 years ago, he had become so successful that he gained depression, fearing that nothing would be difficult anymore and he felt like quitting. What the fuck is that? So he went through the most downward wave of his time during the most successful time of his life. Then he came back and decided to expand his business world-wide, opening shops in NY and LA, then HK and Taiwan, becoming even more successful.

And the funny thing is, he did exactly the opposite of what textbook materials have taught us; he initially started his business with very limited production and high overhead, thus low profit margin, and he deliberately did so. And surprisingly, people love this shit, and he went ahead and produced even less productions but massed out the designs, with its word-of-mouth viral effect the price skyrocketed, as well as his business value.

How can a person with no major failure obtain such degrees of success for a long period of time, and continue to be more successful?

I hate to think this way but maybe it's talent. There are just people who can envision things, and think very differently and figure out great ways to solve the same problems.

Someone used to tell me "Just because you've been walking for the past 20 something years don't meant you're getting any better".

Today I find out that there are certain things that I'm just not good at, and I urge those who believe in themselves utilize their talents for greater goods.

Oh great I just got yelled at again, you see, it's wonderful working with my father, because he is extremely honest, he will verbally rape me anytime he sees something wrong, and all my weaknesses are exposed, forcing me to change. Sometimes I can't help to think whether it's a good thing or not to be 25 years old and still yelled at by the DADDY.

  • Genting

Yo Yo YO for the first time I actually get to go out and be a tourist!

Here are some photos of GenTing, or "Top of Clouds- 雲頂" in West Malaysia, a quite famous mountain casino resort. I couldn't take pictures in the casinos but the view on the mountains are truly more spectacular anyway.

One thing definitely worth noting is that this person below, Tan Sri Lin Go-Tong, who single-handedly established this entire mountain resort; he turned the entire wild, undeveloped mountain into a giant business and money powerhouse along with his second son, I guess it is somewhat of an inspiration for me.

Not only casinos, he and his Genting Group established multi-directional businesses with the casino as his base, with hotels, theme parks, cables, electricity, cruise yachts, paper manufacturing, charity events and more. He is considered one of the greatest entrepreneurs in Malaysia, so hats off to the great one.

Well enough tribute, the view over there are quite beautiful, and I was indeed on top of clouds!

Mountain food again! Had some weird fish named "The Demon Fish", which costs us RM200 (USD60) which is considered A LOT, I think that's what's so demonic about it, but it was good though.

And who can say he's been in Malaysia without this pic?

    Till next time!
