  • Oil price

What is up with the oil price man...

    It's crazy.

And some people are actually chanting "Yes! Raise the oil price! Save the world! Green Earth!!! YAY~~!!!"

    Shut the hell up.

Nobody is riding more bikes or taking more buses.

If the government truly cares for pollution, spend some money on public transportation and stop jacking up the oil price.

Speaking of alternatives to gas, the ethanol issues are now catching up too, corns are used to substitute gas, now cows don't got shit to eat, so people start killing livestocks, or feed them growth hormones, what do we get? Higher milk and meat prices and cancer.

And speaking of meat, man I haven't had real steaks for so long...mmm...I miss the good ol' Safeway steaks, rib-eyes, sirloin, short ribs...anything!

I used to get off at 10pm, go to Safeway and buy myself some TV dinner (chicken cream sauce pasta), beer, and a steak. Those were some of my favorite foods! Pasta, Steak, Egg sunny side-up, pour out some A1...and some Hef... I feel happy just thinking about it. Those were indeed some of my happiest days, and Shadow was always looking me in the eye all cute and shit (like above picture), so I gave her a few bites. Then Jenny would be mad at me.

I was in Taiwan and had those teppan-yaki steaks, they're quite a different genre but those black pepper sauces were insane though.

    Ok lunch time...

  • Rest in Peace...?

    Rest In Peace ... ?

Been back in Taiwan for 2 days, gotta love them Taiwanese news channels.

This time however, I'm not going to bitch about how Taiwan only reports things that happen within Taiwan, unfortunately, too many disasters are going on around the world and disasters around the world are all I see in the news.

Rest in peace for victims of earth quake in China.

Rest in peace for victims of wind disaster in Burma.

    Rest in peace...?

Speaking of the term Rest In Peace. What happened in Burma was completely fucked up. I saw the news clips in the airport on the way to Taiwan. Basically there are about 30,000 reported people dead as a result of the wind disaster, but what's fucked up is the fact that the Burmese government would NOT allow any helps from foreign countries. A huge American plane loaded with foods and water actually had to "park" right outside Burma because Burmese government would not allow foreign planes inside.

The news reporter was furious and decided to secretly film the actual situations and aftermaths within Burma soil, it's tragic to see hundreds and thousands of dead bodies floating on the river, while seeing military personnels doing nothing at all, wait, they did do something, they dump more dead bodies into the river.

So the Burmese government refuses to receive help from the United Nations, and they proceed to dump more dead bodies into the rivers, which happens to be their drinking water source. And today while eating lunch, I saw that they finally announced that they will allow helps and resources to enter Burma but insist on refusing any foreign personnel in entering the nation.

    That's pretty much saying:

"Give us the money and stay the fuck out."

    Sad...just sad.

  • This summer is just going to be great...

    My top 3 list:

    1. The Dark Knight
    2. Red Cliff
    3. Tropic Thunder (this one I definitely want to watch with friends, hopefully I can make it back then...)

  • HUH!? HOW YOU LIKE THAT!? HUH? YOU FUCK WITH ME I FUCK WITH YOU BACK HUH YOU LIKE THAT!? AHHHHH! HOW YOU LIKE THAT!? AHHHHH! HUH!? YOU LIKE THAT!? LOL ROFL

Behold, the ultimate weapon of mass destruction.

  • Dark Knight

JULY 18 WILl BE THE DATE!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

r.i.p Ledger by the way, I loved his performance in the trailers already, if there is anything I can't wait, it's this.

    Anyway,

    What's crack-a-lacking peepz?

    I'm doing finer and finer!

Been prettyt busy lately, thanks to outrageous inflations on everything lately, many buyers are trying to stock up raw materials, so business is going quite well. Seriously, even the bootleg DVD I buy at night markets had increased RM1 (about $.30).

I think my dad is pretty thoughtful, he could see that China is booming and pretty soon China will be dominant on most raw materials around the world. I think that's why USA was putting some kind of taxes on Chinese imported raw materials lately, because they just offer ridiculous low prices for almost everything.

Well, that is also why my company will need to act accordingly and start our own distribution soon, raw material is easy money really, you don't need to explain how good these things are, just give clients the lab results and we're ready to go, unlike newly developed health products where I must explain 2 thousand times to convince people to buy.

But then since pretty soon Chinese manufacturers will likely take away most, if not all of our (and others) businesses, starting our own distribution is just the perfect time (actually 2 or 3 years ago should be better).

It's amazing how most Taiwanese companies are still debating whether President Ma should fulfill his promise to open up doors to China, Taiwan NEEDS to do that, it'll hurt businesses in the beginning but Taiwan is not one  to compete against ANY COUNTRY on resources, especially China, but on technology Taiwan stands out!

Most Taiwanese companies object the idea of open trading with China because they fear that China will take over the Taiwanese market, jobs and economy.

    PUH-LEASE.

What are there to be taken away? Labors? Natural resources? Bootleg CDs? F4? The primary strength of Taiwan is in its human resources and (some) quality manufacturings, as long as more investors are willing to invest in Taiwan, set up companies, hire Taiwanese people, job opportunities can be maintained if not boosted, and more money will come in.

And every time I talk about these with Taiwan clients, they always feed me shit like "No son (年輕人), you don't know man, you're just being optimistic."

Maybe I am, but maybe I could see businesses more than just INSDIE Taiwan.

I think being optimistic and having the ability to spot opportunities are two different things, I used to think that my dad was just being optimistic about things, but I was dead wrong, he's a realist, he just makes shit happen.

He always tells me that problems will always be there, but opportunities come once in a while. If you don't learn how to spot them, you'll end up waiting for them forever, like the person who waits for rabbit to crash into a tree, as the old Chinese proverb said.

But then again, how come he only sees MY PROBLEMS!? that guy never really praises me, you know it'll work wonders, it's like if I get one praise from that guy, one SHAZAM away and I'm on top of my game.

  • Incompetence

One thing I noticed in Malaysia and Taiwan are the kids' inability to perform any task.

They're just slow and inefficient, why is that? I don't understand it.

I went to a theater in Taiwan and before I am seated I buy myself a soda, some kid was in front of me and the clerk was mumbling her line of greeting:

"Good afternoon sir! Welcome to the Shittiest Thearter in the world, we offer coke, sprite, orange soda and orange juice, which one would you like?"

Some kid in front of me: "Um...do you guys have ice tea?"

NO YOU INCONSIDERATE BITCH, SHE JUST SAID THOSE FOUR DRINKS.

Then the kid would cry: "Waaahhhhh~ Waaahhhhh~ Mommie Mommie they don't have ice tea~!!"

    Shut the hell up.

And then this lady would ignore my existence and try to cut, I'd tap on her shoulder and kindly point her to the right direction, which would be one of two places: Hell or the end of line.

She was like "Yes I know!"

Then the stupid clerk would point her and greet her to the counter so she was next.

This happens every time! In Taiwan and in Malaysia, people don't form lines, the only thing they form is social injustice, they just see a spot and they squeeze in, if you don't you lose.

I was buying my basketball the other day, the clerk couldn't find the barcode so she helped the next customer, she couldn't find the barcode for the next customer so she helped the next, after she finished her slow motion customer service with the 3rd customer she returned to help the second; while I was waiting like a dumb ass up front waiting to pay. Dude I was having a great day and I just exploded.

    "Shouldn't I be helped before these 2??

    and the clerk said:

    "...?"

    NO SHE NO ENGLISH

And what almost gave me a stroke was the fact that there were 2 other associates behind her the whole time with an empty register, they were just looking and smiling. The fuck you smiling about?

    True story at KLCC

Man we need to level up the standards of younger generations man.

Fire somebody and pay somebody more or something, do something about them.

You know what are the 2 most popular part-time jobs in Taiwan for young people? Gas station and convenient stores, know why? because young people of Taiwan loves to stand around doing nothing, to them there's no other jobs better than having nothing to do and get paid, I mean why not? You get to talk on the cell phone, play around with the cell phone, and text message with the cell phone while you're at work!

Come to think of it I really appreciate how efficient those 路邊攤 people are, way to go! Man I was in 士林夜市 and the guys at 豪大大雞排 just owned, they' hella fast, and although the chicken steak wasn't as good as I expected, they're efficient and I was willing to wait in the rain, happy ending.

    Ok back to work.

  • Random Girl

    Haven't drawn forever.

How do you draw girls? I still don't get it...

Yeah anyway today a lady from the Ministry of Health came and inspected our stocks and such...

Dude she's probably the finest Malaysian girl I have seen so far...

Reminded me of the good ol' checking-out-girls-at-the-streets days... I just sit on the block and look at cute chicks, those were the happiest days of my life.

Anyway I was happy to finally see a cute girl so I decided to draw it down

Turned out like every other girl I draw...

    Oh wellz!

  • Friends?

    "True" Friends?

I was browsing on line the other day and saw this article about evaluating your friends; or how to make "true" friends.

It gave out a list of actions, basically asking you to know yourself, and compare your true values to those friends around you, then you will need to take action and decide whether you should be friends with them anymore.

It says that it will feel awkward at first, but it is something we must do to improve our lives.

This way, you will become more comfortable with yourself, you will become more confident, because those who holds the same value will be around you most of the time, and you will be more prone to approach your goal.

It kind of got me thinking a bit.

I don't completely disagree with this theory, but I don't agree with it either.

I think it is true when we should apply this to very very negative and pessimistic people; and there is a fine line between being REAL and being PESSIMISTIC, REAL people deal with facts, PESSIMISTIC people deal with thoughts.

From my personal experiences and observations, I notice that people will naturally fall into groups of likes, you don't need to give out a tutorial to tell people how to make friends; people who share common grounds will tend to have a better understanding and communication of each other, and they are more likely to become friends.

I think about my circle of friends, and we all share somewhat similar traits, and as time elapses, we part with some of these friends because we no longer understand each other anymore.

It's a bit harsh to say, but most of the relationships I observe are: losers stay with losers, winners stay with winners; those who love to bitch and whine will love to chill out with those who have other things to bitch and whine about; those who loved to share success and values will enjoy being with those who do the same. Drama kings will hang with drama queens, nerds with nerds, wannabes with wannabes...etc.

I think being comfortable with yourself is important, but there is a theory that I read from a book that changes my attitude towards life. That is, being comfortable is limiting your ability to expand yourself.

As a growing human being, I think it is important for us to expand our horizon; that is, it is important not to always stay comfortable, because staying comfortable will not force us to grow, it is only when we are placed in uncomfortable situations we learn to adapt and develop new skills, abilities, knowledges and what not to cope with the situation.

I think despite the values we differ against each other, there will always be something we can learn and share from others, the key is our attitude and mindset towards others. It will always feel awkward to meet and hang with those that we're not familiar with, but most of the time it is only because we lack the understanding of them. It is a shame that we think we know so much about some people and thus we decide to withdraw the possibilities of knowing more.

Come to think about it, "Friend" as a title to someone for me is very vague; it's hard to classify someone as friend and someone not, it's more like people I know a lot, I know, and I don't know, and then there's people I like a lot, I like, and I don't like. And I'll try my best not to include "Hate", although it's coming from time to time.

  • R.I.P Puppies!

How many puppies fell victim to the streets,

Rest in peace young puppy there's a heaven for a P

Be a lie, if I told you that I never thought of death.

My puppies, we're the last ones left,

    But life goes on...

    -------------------------------

It's really too bad; I did not understand why, it's probably dog flu or something, came home yesterday and two died, mother was trying to bury them. The last one had her eye all swollen, couldn't move at all, couldn't even whine anymore. They seemed to be in great amount of pain; it sucks I couldn't help much.

Maybe it's better if they're gone, they haven't gotten a chance to see the world, and now they get to go straight to heaven.

    R.I.P PUPPIES!!!
