Oooh~ Spending all your money money..First weekend in Taiwan was pretty realxing, was going to chill at home but given the fact that Jenny hasn't gotten in touch with her home land, I decided to take her to a wonderful self-rediscovery trip in Taipei.
And as usual it turned out to become Jacky's personal shopping frenzy. Sorry sis.
I (We) went to visit two stores that I've always wanted to but never had a chance:
The Complete Studio - CLS Taipei
CLS is the first and ONLY authorized dealer in Taiwan for ALL my favorite ura-harajuku brands like Nexus 7, Neighborhood, Visvim, WTaps, and MORE!
The experience was awesome, the staff was super nice. One thing I dislike about Taiwanese clothing stores is that they are very extreme when it comes to sales approaches. They either suffocate you with their tireless attempts to sell; or they'd ignore you and give you shitty faces like you owe them something. CLS staff was very relaxed; they didn't hustle me into buying nor ignore me.
Anyways, I was happy and bought 3 items, all Nexus 7 brand at retail price (which still hurts my wallet). But damn, what you pay is what you get, I love the qualities... oh btw I saw 黃子佼 just chilling there, pretty cool shopping with celebs.

Plain logo Tee, bought my "Stoned" black tee like 5 years ago at Stussy in Haights, wored it, loved it, done it again.
Disney font chain stitching. Notice the little extra stichings around the pocket corner? Details count.
The staff gave me an "exclusive" A/W 2009 Catalouge of Nexus 7, saying that it's not for sale.
I've gotta say it is indeed a very nice touch.

The Thurs Company
Now I've been following the Thurs for over 5-6 years now. They are a 100% local Taiwan, Taichung brand that started out 10 years ago as a second-hand flea market kinda store.
10 years later they have grown to become one of Taiwan's best known local brands. There are hundreds of local brands in Taiwan, but 99% of them tend to steal ideas from hip Japanese brands like A Bathing Ape, Neighborhood, Hyteric Glacmour..etc.
Thurs had been on their own for very long and they have been steadily improving. From importing brands like Supreme, Ape, to designing their own clothing lines, to their current exclusive dealership to Lewis Leathers...They finally opened up shop in Taipei earlier this year, so I went for a visit. Needless to say I was very impressed with the stuff they got there, although most of the items were sold out for my size. Staff was very nice and stylish, gave me some suggestions and tips in mixing and matching.
Still copped a very nice denim shirt though...
Forgot to take the full shot of it but it's a short sleeve shirt in cowboy shirt style with very exotic fabrics, part denim, part linen, all sexy.And of course I showed love for Levi's Asia...
